Eddie Lacey is an NFL player who hails from Louisiana. Lacey showed great promise as a national football league player when he scored a considerable number of touchdowns in his early years at high school and continued to impress after he injured himself significantly during his senior years.

High School Career

Lacey made some impressive achievements in the sports whilst playing for Alabama University tram Crimson tide finishing the first season with 6 touch downs. After continuing to play for the rest of the year with this team he finished up with 17 rushing touchdowns and a further 2 touchdowns receiving, he was also named the offensive most valuable player for the bowl championship game.

Professional Career:

The beginning of his professional career took off when he played for Seattle’s regional team the Seahawks, as a running back for whom which he played for up until 2013 when the NFL draft selection chose him to play for Wisconsin’s Green Bay Team.Lacey was considered an exceptional rookie player by the team setting many records. During his first year, he finished with 1,178 yards, 257 receiving yards along with 11 touchdowns.

His first year he was highlighted as the AP second team all pro and named to the bowling pro as well as receiving the rookie of the year title for 2013. Onward and upwards Lacey did not stop there.
He propelled forward In 2014 as his popularity and reputation grew within NFL – his already impressive stats continued to increase. A total of 13 touch downs with 1,139 rushing yards. For these stats, it made him the fifth running back for the Green Bay Packers history to rush for back to back 1000 yards per season.

Lacey currently ranks number 7 for the past two seasons in the NFL for total rushing yards with 2,217 yards and tied for number 3 in rushing touchdowns with 20.

Eddie Lacey’s Injury News

2015 onward Lacey had suffered a number of unfortunate injuries affecting his playing. September 20th Lacey received an ankle injury whilst playing the Seattle Seahawks and was unable to return, soon afterward he then suffered a groin injury whilst playing against the Carolina Panthers in the 3rd quarter of week 9 within the season. 2015 was certainly an eventful year. December 2, 2015, he also missed his team’s curfew of which his status was impacted during the matchup against the Detroit Lions in week 13.

2016 was also riddled with a few injuries he injured his ankle whilst playing against the New York Giants.
Lacy in 2017 has signed a one-year, contract worth $5.5 million dollars with the Seattle Seahawks with at least $3 million guaranteed.
